San Antonio...Part One of Many...

So, on Friday, I graduated.

Yes, I already posted about that.
I didn't post about who was there, and who wasn't.
I didn't post about the ultra-fabulous gifts I got!
But, I will post about this: Hubby took me & Gage to San Antonio for a graduation-get-away. How awesome is that???

Let me just preface this post & future posts with this: this is likely the first of many posts & we took LOTS of pictures.

We had a BLAST.

I'll start with Friday's graduation weather: awful.
What was awesome: hitting Wendy's down the road from the university, drying off with crappy paper towels and changing into velour lounge pants in their bathroom.
I'm not being sarcastic. It was awesome.

Then---we hit the road while munching Wendy's.
We hadn't been on the freeway for 20 minutes before Gage started in with the "How much longer until we'll be there," "How much longer," and "Are we there yet?" {Yes, we're there; get out!}

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make here is that it was quite a loooooong ride.
We all survived, and there was actually very little fighting over the radio (thanks to the ipod shuffle I tucked into my bag).

Friday night---arrived in San Antonio, and had plans to spend the night with Hubby's bud Mark & his wife Jana.
We had a GREAT time with them!
We went down to the River Walk that night...
{cue the pictures!Gage took the first one for us.}

Why, yes, I was very excited about having an adult beverage, and two plates of food. Who wouldn't be??? {In my defense: I ordered a salad! and the quesadillas were going to go uneaten after we ordered them for Gage & he wouldn't touch 'em. I had to, right??? And thanks to Mark for the totally staged picture! Pardon me for bending over to sip from my straw without even picking up my glass. Can't you see? My hands are full double-fisting the food!}

Where I wanted to go, but didn't get to because we had Gage with us, and though I thought about leashing him to an outdoor table & running in for a round of drinks & singing by the piano, I refrained because the state (read: CPS) frowns upon that type of fun...I mean, behavior:

Gage was well behaved during dinner {read: didn't whine toooooo terribly much about leaving}, so we got him the blue light up sword that he'd been eye-balling. Let me tell you: neon light up swords really interfere with the scenic view of the River Walk. I'm just sayin'.... Sure, we bought one & are perpetuating the demand for the swords down there, but they make the view less picturesque.

We drove by the Alamo on our way back to Mark & Jana's...
{that's a lit-up-horse-drawn-carriage that streaked my already blurry picture of the Alamo... in case you were wondering.}

Gage was tuckered out....

...and of course THAT didn't last long.
He was wide awake by the time his car-seat was unbuckled.
He was also looking forward to playing with Mark & Jana's dogs, Leela & Baghara.

They really are such great dogs!

So, after some playing with the dogs, we all crashed.
It was so great to just be THERE & not here.
...to be on vacation, and no looming homework or work-work.

Okay, so that was Day 1 of our trip.
:)
More to follow!

School: Done!

Well, I graduated.
I did it.
I'm done.
I started when Gage was just a baby, and I'm finally done with grad school.
Wooooooohooooo!!!!

{sorry it's a little blurry}

What was awesome? My little man yelling, "Way to go, Mommy!"
Yes. Awesome.

It was just wonderful.
Wonderful.
I didn't want to go to my own high school graduation...or my undergrad graduation...but this one? This one I wanted to attend. And I did. And it was great to finally mark the END of grad school.

And it was great fun to celebrate with THIS little guy...

Done...

Well...my last class to attend: done.
Did it last night.
Didn't feel well, but I had to go.
Had to take a final.
Took it.
Grades already posted for that class, and I got an A.
Wooohooo.

But---still waiting on my other class grade to post. It's the one with my thesis-equivalent mega-paper.

Getting soooooooooooo close to graduation.
And guess what I won't be doing anymore of?
HOMEWORK!
Wooohoooo!

Done & Done.

I'm done with my "revisions" for my mega-paper (thesis-equivalent).
I need to print it out in the morning & hand it in.

I'm done with my presentation in my other class. Only thing remaining: quiz for evening 4/28; final next week.

Internship: have some lose ends to tie up. As far as home visits go---I'm pretty much done. I have two more that I need to go see, but the rest of my open cases just need to be tied up. That's typing. I can handle that.
I'm going to stay on there as a volunteer even after I graduate. I've enjoyed my experiences there...

And so---graduation in just a few weeks. Thank goodness.

In other news: Gage has been running fever since Sunday late afternoon/evening. Hubby's back at work this week. Hurts him to sit for that long, but he's been a trooper. Mowed the yard this weekend. FYI: no, the lawn mower doesn't work exactly like a vacuum, and so the corners of the yard are a b*tch to mow.
What else?
We're out of coffee filters.
That's about all I've got.

TTFN.

*************
Addendum: right after I hit "post," Gage started throwing up & c/o his mouth hurting.

Hmmm....a stomach virus & the coxsackie virus??? Maybe???
Poor Buddy!

Please tell me that it's not contagious, whatever it is....

It's a Major Award! ...followed by the indoor germ-a-palooza!

Okay, so last Friday evening, I got this award thing at school.

Luckily for me, Gage snapped a few pics.
AND---I even have a head in a few of them.

What did we do after that to celebrate???
Um---Chuck E. Cheese's, of course.
{Because CLEARLY every student over the age of 30 wants to celebrate his or her success at the indoor germ-a-palooza. Where else can you leave a piece of half eaten cheese pizza on the edge of an air hockey table & just walk away?[and by "half-eaten," I mean the cheese topping was methodically chewed off by some 3 foot picky eater]}

Okay, Okay, I complain a lot....but we really DID all have a good time.

(very serious for his horse riding expedition)

A good time was had by all.
And, Gage got to stay out in public until 10 o'clock (gasp!), and we even stayed awake at home until after 11 o'clock. Whooohooo. Big night!

:)

On the downside: right after work on Friday, I went to the campus bookstore to get my graduation clothing, and I'll be darned if I wasn't just a few minutes late. Ugh. So, I will have to try & get it Monday....

Oh.Crap.

Well, guess what.
Apparently you’re supposed to order your gown & hood for graduation 5 WEEKS BEFORE graduation.
It’s currently 4 weeks before graduation.

I’m heading to the university as soon as I’m done with work to see about my hood & gown.

CRAP.CRAP.CRAP.

{caption with that: you just might be too late!}

What a beating of a day.

My day: (took the day off work to work on my mega-paper)

wake up 7:30

Gage, up, dressed, breakfast.

8:45 Out the door to take Gage to Memaw's

9:30-10:30: exchange Gage's shoes @ Target b/c Hubby bought a pair (FIVE SIZES) too small. (WTF was he thinking!?)

11:00 home, gather paper writing junk. Open laptop.

WHAT THE F*CK? The screen went black.

Every time I turned it on, it turned off.

Run up stairs----use that computer to find a place to buy a new battery for the laptop. Why??? Because the draft of the paper is ON the laptop. NO, I didn't save it to the little memory stick thing because when I was going to---the laptop kept turning off!

Closest place that has the battery: Plano's Batteries Plus.

fine. Go there.

$100+ later---I've got a new battery.

Problem: that's only 1/2 the problem. Screen won't light up.

Go to Computer Junction in Richardson.

fine. $75 to plug in a cable that came loose?

fine. pay it. Go home.

2pm: lunch.

And now, my day off has been WASTED with running around, and I've only added 2 pages in length to what I'd hope to finish today.

I want to take a nap.

:(

that's my whine for today.

thanks for reading.

I'm still typing, and that means that I am procrastinating.

....crickets....crickets......

Okay---fine! I'll log off! I'm leaving now. Back to work on my paper.

Dammit Arlene, and Dammit Direct TV

So, it's past bedtime around here, and I'm up blogging.
why??
Because my frick-frackin' laptop overheated (what? you shouldn't use it for like 5 consecutive [or more] hours while it's propped on your down comforter???) and I really started to get the vibe that it was about to fritz out on me. So, I hurried & emailed myself an attachment of my paper. Schlepped my stuff upstairs to Gage's computer, which luckily has the internet, but doesn't have the same Word stuff installed, and I need all kinds of product keys & codes to adequately configure it....yada, yada, freakin' yada.
Point is: I was chugging coke to vamp myself up for a few more hours of quiet homework time. And now---I'm taking a break, and hoping that I'm giving my little laptop a little time to cool itself down so I can get back to work soon.

So, in the meantime.....I sent a little statement to the Customer Service people at Direct TV {after all, THEY sent ME a customer service response card to fill out. It's only appropriate for me to tell them how I really feel}.
Here are my questions relating to the service at the Casa de Lainey-Paney:

1) I've had service for about a week now. Why have I already gotten a bill for a months worth of service?
2) A bill for $102? What happened to the nice price they quoted by phone that was in the $60s? When I said, "does that include the 4 receivers?" I was told "YES" not "Well, there's a $5 charge for each of those, so no, your bill will actually go up by twenty bucks right there."

So far, the only thing I've liked about Direct TV: (1) the installation guy was nice, respectful (covered his shoes to walk into our new house!), and taught me how to use the product. I appreciated that. (2) The fact that I now get the Sprout channel for my son.
THAT's IT!

......I miss AT&T U-verse. I knew this whole "livin' in the sticks" thing was going to pose a few problems....

Update!!!!

Okay, so I understand that I have failed to update the blog appropriately----and for that, I apologize.

I've lived in my new house for a week now.
I'm still living out of boxes.
I haven't had a single commute to or from work that has taken less than 75 minutes.

This past week: glad to report that though the Novacain I had from my dental work and that lasted more than 7 hours FINALLY wore off. I woke up with actual feeling back to the right side of my face again.
Sadly I report: it's actually BRUISED on the outside of my cheek. I knew it was all tender, but I didn't know that it was bruised. OUCH.

This past week: I came home one day to a RED dog. I just KNEW that he jacked up the carpet at home. Luckily---I was wrong. It's a long story about what he got into---but let me break it down to say this: he got into some red icing. He was RED.
Sadly I report: Hubby's first instinct was to shave the dog, and that's exactly what he did. According to PawPaw, my little Ranger looks like CATFISH! And that's what we've been calling him: "CatFish".

Today: Hubby's sister & neice & dad came into town. They all went out to eat at SaltGrass tonight.
Sadly I report: I had to go to work, so I missed out.
hmph.

This past week: My new bedding came in & it ROCKS!
Sadly I report: the throw pillows that came with the set are sucky, but whatever---I tossed them onto the window seat & haven't thought much about them.

And in other news---I've got mega-homework to work on this weekend. Darnin' & PawPaw spent the night with us last night. First official sleepover guests.
:)
Took a 2.5 hour nap today that was lovely and just reminded me that occasionally, I love a good nap.

That's about all I know for now.
I've been even busier than usual lately....but come on, May!
I CANNOT wait to be done with school.

Are You Kidding Me?

So...I'm in class.
This girl complains about my typing.
MY TYPING.
Apparently the clicking noise is bothering her.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Oh---I'm sorry that my typing is so fast that it bothers you. I'm sorry that I must be like the world's heaviest-fingered-typist.

WTF-ever.
I type my notes.
I bring no paper to class.
What if I just made a big announcement that the sound of her pen on her paper was annoying to me?

This sh*t is going to be on my midterm. I have no paper & pen for note-taking. She can get over herself.
Or change seats.

Maybe I'm being stubborn, and non-receptive to her easily-distracted-nature, but I've had a full day, I haven't eaten yet today b/c half of my face has been numb for most of the day. It's wearing off now, and my jaw is starting to hurt from dental work---not so much the dental work, but I think it's more from having 4 hands in my mouth!!! So, I'm hungry---the medicine kept me from eating, and now that it is wearing off, it's not so great either. UGH.

Miss Me?

Okay---quick note. My world is CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY busy right now!

Got the house.
Got moved.
The mover's truck was huge, and um.......it didn't hold all of our stuff. Good times.
Did I mention that the house we are moving into is actually SMALLER than our old house? It has more bedrooms & a completely different flow/layout, but the square footage is smaller.

Did I mention that I've already given a ton of stuff away???
Anyway---we'll be unpacking for a good long while, I'm certain of it.

Today: took Gage to his new doc. He's in the 75th percentile for height & weight, which means that he's evening out with his peers finally. He's always been taller than them, but lately he's been skinnier than them!
Anyway---he got 3 shots today b/c he didn't get them at his appt. back in August for his school physical b/c he wasn't yet 4. Then, I couldn't bring myself to make him go....and then he was sick, etc. etc. You get it.
Today----3 shots. He was really very good for the shots, but yelled @ the two nurses: "I'M TELLING MY DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDY!" And yes, he demanded the cell phone to call Daddy as soon as we were out of there.
By the time we got home---his little legs were so sore that he inquired as to why they didn't send him home with a wheelchair. Poor buddy.

Tomorrow night: internet @ my house!
Woohooo!

Been super busy w/ a school project due tomorrow night, in addition to the homework assignment that was due this past Monday, after our big move this past weekend. I tell you---it's crazy in my world. I'm busy as can be!

TTFN: TaTa for Now!
{I'm such a mom......}

UGH.

Okay, I know that I've done nothing but b*tch....a lot.
But, let me say:

I am so ready to be done.
I don't really want to get into any specifics here, but in a nutshell: everyone & everything school related is on my nerves.

Wednesdays suck in my world.

I'm busier than ever.
My house is never clean.
I constantly feel like I'm behind, or forgetting something that I should be doing.
I'm ready to just be done with it all.
I'm tired of the cold & wet. I'm ready for the sun to shine, and need to just sit my rear down & plow through this school work.

On the upside: I applied for graduation, I ordered my text for my Wed. night class, and I'm just ANXIOUSLY awaiting its arrival {good times}, I closed out 2 cases w/ my internship today, and just need to file them at the court next week....and I've scheduled some upcoming home visits for the internship, so that's a good thing...

I just want a break!
{and I'd prefer that it include a beach & an umbrella in my drink. Is that really too much to ask? I think not.}

104.

The countdown is on.
I have 104 days until graduation.
I have 53 days until my non-thesis/thesis-equivalent is due.

I've still got my 4.0!
I have applied for graduation.
I have not even begun to start on the other.

I am so ready to be done.

10 hours this semester.
I work 24+ hours/week & I am doing my internship as well. .
May God grant me the ability to fly by the seat of my pants. {because asking God to make every little detail perfect would be a really lengthy list. I think that flying by the seat of my pants will be just fine...}

Busy, Busy, Busy.

First & foremost---let me say that I am supposed to be in Jamaica right now, but I am not.

So---Colin & Melissa: I called y'all this morning, thinking that y'all were leaving today. I'm a super sucky friend b/c y'all left on Tuesday. On the upside: I spoke with Allison, and your pets are doing well {as if you are reading this while in Jamaica...who am I kidding!?}.

Busy Bullets:

* No Jamaica. Life is sucking right now, eh?

* Still had the days off from work! So, what have I done? Busted my hiney at the ol' internship. I seriously logged some hours over these past couple of days.

* Dentist: took Gage on Tuesday. No cap. No bling-bling-silver cap. Wooohooo! That's the good news. The bad news: he had 3 cavities, 2 different kinds---aerobic & anaerobic. Why? "He has deep grooves" in his little teeth. The other bad news: the medicine they give him---supposed to make him sleepy & groggy, yada, yada. Um. How about no? Has the same effect on him as Benadryl...except---it was like Super-Benadryl. Benadryl on crack! He was literally bouncing off the walls. He was jumping up on the benches & jumping down. He could NOT be still. Luckily the orange scented laughing gas helped him calm down. For a while. And then---as they are doing his fillings, he'd randomly panic & freak out & just start pulling all this stuff off his face & out of his mouth. Then, I step up & try to calm him---step on some pedal & water starts squirting about. They were so patient with us. I couldn't do that all day every day. They truly take the cake for patience, and being upbeat, etc. They rock.

* Got pumpkins from a Rockwall Pumpkin Patch on Sunday night...

* Tuesday night brought the carving of pumpkins....after Gage & I had a long nap. Let me back up to Tuesday....the medicine that made him bounce off the walls---well, it made him an evil-demon-child when he was coming down off of it. Seriously. He was just....awful! And I felt awful for him because it seemed like he couldn't help it. He was just unhappy, unsatisfied even when I gave him what he demanded...we HAD to have a nap. We snuggled on the couch at 1:30 & woke up at 4. It was nice to randomly get a nap in the middle of the week!

* So---anyway, Tuesday night brought the carving of pumpkins & the frying of the pumpkin seeds. Yes, I fry them. In butter. Then I salt them. Then I eat them until I practically make myself sick on them, and I don't do it again until the next year. It's a sad tradition, and I do it annually. Can't help myself. It's like eating one of those Easter marshmallow peeps. They're so cute & fluffy, and then I have...oh, ONE of them, and I feel sick afterward. That's my Easter tradition....

* Got an A on my Monday night paper. Super excited about that.

* Think I got an A on my Thursday night test. She'll finalize the grading stuff soon.

* Got an online survey about how my experience was when my car was being fixed...gave the insurance co. a good review, but gave a rather vivid description of my driving experiences in my rentals (the 2nd one w/ the bad smell....yes, I assure you that my description included the phrases "hot flowers," & "snorting cigarrette ashes in a chicken coop." That was this morning. Got a return call from the car rental place this afternoon. I missed the call & the guy left a message. Talk about "service recovery!" We'll see what he has to say tomorrow...

* That's about all I know now...I've been super busy!
:)

school Pictures, Images and Photos

I would like to inform everyone that I have class tonight.
I'm one of three students who showed up.

Lucky me.
I better have all the answers!

Busy Bullets...

* Ruby's brother is safe & fine!

* The Kia Rondo is...okay. I've totally come to realize all the little things that I've been used to in my car, and take for granted. My car was supposed to be towed to the shop today. I'm not at home right now to know if that happened or not, but it was supposed to. I already miss it!

* I'm super sleepy today. Don't know what it is. I'm just TIRED.

* Hubby gave Ranger another haircut. Don't ask. Too short. "Hey, honey, use a guard next time, mmmmkay?" Seriously---my black & white dog looks black & pink. His little white hair is so short that you just see his pink skin shining through! The poor little dog needs a sweater. Poor little Ranger gets so cold outside! He is used to having hair.

* Gage didn't have school today. Fair day. Hubby & I both worked. We didn't take him to the fair. {Bad Mommy! Bad Daddy!}

* Hubby's feeling a little bit better, but still not feeling up to par.

* I need*need*need to go to the grocery store. Haven't done it. We're out of all kinds of Gage's favorites...like "green yogrit," "square cheese," "cracker stackers," little marshmallows, Cap'n Crunch, truly the list could go on & on. Hubby went to the store on Saturday night...
"Oh, y'all went to the store?" {phone call while I was at work.} "Did you get any of the stuff on the list?"
"What list?"
"The one in the kitchen."
"I didn't see a list."
"Well, did you get cheese slices or Gage's yogurt?"
"No."
"What did y'all get, a bunch of guy stuff?"
"We got corny dogs and chocolate ice cream..."
"Yeah. Guy stuff."
"Well, we like it, and it's stuff you never buy."
Notice---no vegetables. no whole grains. I'll give them credit for protein & dairy...but, c'mon!

* I saw a nun in a brand new BMW today. For real. I thought, okay...maybe a Halloween event a bit early? I mean---the two just didn't really seem to be a typical pair, you know? So, I was laughing, and I called mom...she said, "God is good!" Oh.my.goodness. If she'd had a bumper sticker with that on the car, that would have just been the icing on the cake!

* School note: I have this professor who asks all these hypothetical questions in the process of giving lecture..."how do you...?" "what do you do when you have...?" But he sometimes doesn't pause between the questions...so then I'm sitting there generating aaaalllll of these answers in my head, but I am not sure if he's REALLY asking, or just proposing the question for thought. Geez. It's wearin' me out. I always have to have my answers ready just in case he's REALLY asking. What a mental whooping! {...keepin' me thinkin'...I suppose some would call that 'doing his job'. gah!}

Okay...I gotta run!
:)

Busy, Busy, Busy

Bullets today b/c I'm busy & have to get going!

* Still have a 5 foot by 3 foot hole in the roof. Insurance is going to pay. The big question now is how much. That saga is still going on. I haven't cried or flipped out too much about it yet. My friend, Lexapro, is really helping me through it.

* Flooding in the Phillipines: Ruby's brother lives in Manila, and nobody has been able to contact him or heard from him. Say a little prayer for him. His name is Randy.

* Hubby is sick. Sick sick sick. Flu, now with bronchitis, sinus infection, and working on a bilateral ear infection. Couldn't just have a cold, could he? He really had to go all out. Over-achiever.

* Busy day ahead with appointments until the cows come home.

* Lost my keys yesterday while out in public. By the grace of God, I found them. I assure you---it WAS a small miracle.

* I have a paper due on Monday. All offers of volunteering to write it for me will be considered. Don't everyone raise their hands at once.

* I shamefully admit that I DVR'd The Hills last night {haven't watched it yet}, and yet at the same time---if all the characters of that show just fell off the planet, I wouldn't really miss them. What is WRONG with me? {you know, for making such an ugly comment....and for watching the show. I'm sick & twisted, and sometime think/act like a 16 year old girl...}

Today....

Gage was supposed to get a filling tomorrow. Remember his gummy bear cavity? {that's what I call it anyway...} Well, unfortunately, they won't sedate him if he's currently "ill," and given his ear infection which was diagnosed over the weekend---we've had to reschedule the dental appointment. These puppies get booked up 4 weeks out! So, we're on board for October 20th. I'm certain that Gage won't be upset about delaying it.

For those who are worried about my kiddo being contagious for the party---he does not have the flu, or the swine flu, or contagious bugs, according to the doctor. He has an ear infection & he's on antibiotics.
:)
Speaking of antibiotics: the oral stuff---Omnicef. I tasted it. Tastes GREAT! Gage, of course, hates it. It was like a 30 minute ordeal to get him to take it. Well, remember that song from Mary Poppins---you know, the one about the spoon full of sugar helping the medicine go down? Well, Gage has never seen Mary Poppins (although, I'm sure he'd love it!), but Hubby & I have. Hubby got the great notion to let Gage have a "sugar shot" {I'll explain later if you've not been to our house} after his medicine. I'm sure the dentist would cringe! (Dr.P {Gage's dentist}, if you're reading this, well, then I apologise, and we'll probably keep you in business!)
Other antibiotics: ear drops. Gage has not been one of those kids who has had ear infection after ear infection, etc. He's had a few, but not just a ton, you know? So, this is our first go-round with ear drops. WHAT A TROOPER. He'd sooooo rather have the drops than the oral medicine. He'll lay there, and let me put the drops in, and tell me what he hears....then I'll whisper in his ear & he repeats the words, or I'll make soft animal sounds in his ear & he tells me what animal the sound belongs to. That way he stays still long enough for the drops to get down in there & not just immediately trickle out, ya know?

What else?

8 more months of school.
8 more months. That's it. I can do it. I can do it. I am so seriously running out of steam. Between the internship eating up a ton of my time, work, attending class, and trying to make time to clean house & be a wife and mom...these last 2 semesters are really kicking my hiney. I admit it.
I cannot waaaaaait to be done. I feel like I'm never home, and when I am, I need to be cleaning!

That's about all I know for now.
I need to go get my day started.
Have a good Monday!

BURSTING with EXCITEMENT!

Okay...first of all, I could hardly contain myself when the school supply list came in the mail.

My mom may be the only one to appreciate this---but I am a NUT about school supply shopping. Staples??? One of the best places on Earth. A place where there is order, and labels, and the ability to laminate anything that's flat & won't melt....seriously---it's one of the best places on Earth.

My heart races at the thought of owning a Sharpie in every color...an endless supply of sticky notes, and binders and folders, and spiral notebooks...you get it.

So, over the weekend, we head out to Target with our school supply list in hand.

Target. Saturday.
Tax-Free-Shopping-Weekend.
Shoot Me.

Next time: I'll pay the tax on the twenty cent box of crayons.
Oh wait---who am I kidding? Target was out of crayons.
They were also out of regular school glue, 8 pack of watercolor paints, and plastic folders with brads. We were lucky enough to score the LAST box of Crayola brand washable markers (classic colors, of course) in the whole Target store over at City Place.

After Target, we walked over to Office Max. {sorry Staples, but Office Max was just conveniently located at the time.}
We found a much less crowded store & all of our remaining items. We should have just started AND finished there.
I also got this handy cute carry-case for my internship cases, and a new laptop carry case {Hubby thinks it's just hideous, but I disagree}.

What else???
Oh---Gage got a SpiderMan backpack & lunch box. He's VERY excited.

School supplies---tell me why one child requires 6 things of glue, but no scissors. For real. 4 large glue sticks & 2 bottles of glue. I have a feeling that if no cutting is involved---I'm going to get some very LARGE craft projects. No, no...I'm sure the teachers will do all the cutting....

Meet-The-Teacher night is this coming Thursday.
I can't go & it breaks my heart!
But, Hubby can handle it.

Okay, so I was super excited about school supplies.
Today is the first day of my next-to-last school semester. [does that sentence even make sense??]
I have less than a year.
