Behold the Power...!

...of the Dallas Library Card!

So, after discussion last Wednesday after our first round of library storytime, Hubby & I decided that perhaps we need to go, and keep going, every week, to get Gage USED to sitting on the rug, and singing the songs, and heaven-forbid-interacting-with-more-than-one-person-at-a-time!

So, today, we hit story-time at one of the Dallas Library branches {and, Leslie, there were tons of little ones there! Not just 3-6 year olds!}
Anyway....it went so incredibly well, that I kid you not---I almost cried!
Okay, so he didn't sing.
He didn't stand, or hold hands to ring-around-the-rosy....but that's okay.
He sat there {in my lap, but whatever} quietly, and paid attention to the stories!

And then---then there was a craft. Gage got to color a picture of a little lamb, and glue cotton balls on her. Okay, he was afraid of the glue stick {who is afraid of a GLUE STICK???}, so I did the glue, but he put the cotton balls on. I tell you what...that's when I almost cried! It's the best craft ever! I love it, love it, love it.



So, after that, I treated Gage to his very own, very first LIBRARY CARD! And, he got to pick out 3 books! He chose....




He was very excited about his new library card.


After that, since it was all of 11:30 in the morning....we got gas, and headed to Burger King for lunch. He ate all of his lunch, save a few apple slices, and we headed out to Rowlett to see Zephra & Zakary!

We had fun chatting while the boys played...and played....and played. OMG, it was soooo nice that they got along. We played over there for FIVE HOURS! We did take a mid-visit walk down to the lake.




It was around 6 o'clock when we left there. Zephra---you aren't lying about your city & cops. Between your house & the freeway, I passed 4 cop cars!
Gage was snoring from the backseat long before we made it to the freeway!

So...that was our very long but great Wednesday.
I didn't do any dishes...or any laundry...or anything!
