Life Is Just So Daily

Today:

Today I...

....threw a snake in my neighbor's yard. (I've been known to do this on several occasions.)

....smelled my little boy's sweaty head & just soaked it all in.

....bribed my kid with Lincoln Logs so that he'd let me "click" his nails.

....washed the lint trap on my dryer.

....thought about cleaning a lot more than I actually cleaned.

....lied to my child & told him that I was drinking hot coffee & he couldn't touch my cup...when really it was filled with Dr.Pepper, but I don't want him to have any.

....brushed & flossed like a good girl should.

....wore an orange baseball cap because Gage put it on my head this morning.

....ate super yummy home-made chicken fried steak for dinner! And, no, I didn't make it.

....went to the store BY MYSELF, and took my time because it was...well, MY TIME!

....came home from the store with a "prize" for Gage. (It's a $5 lawn mower, and he's in love.)

....kissed Gage's various body parts with Mommy Magic healing kisses after he "bonked" himself. [instead of "bump", Gage says "bonk". As in, "I bonked my head!"]

....learned that only grated cheese is what Gage considers "real cheese".

....played a little "hut hut" in the backyard with Gage earlier. (that's code for "football".)

....enjoyed walking barefoot in the grass.

Well, those are some of the good things from my day.
:)

So much better than what I did today! I worked for 2 1/2 hours trying to get one person into dialysis then found out she didn't have a place to live, so I then worked for another hour trying to find her a shelter to go to.....no luck!! BUT THEN...I got to play with my baby girl!! Can't wait to see pictures from tomorrow!

Those are beautiful things from the day. :) Rach once stubbed her toe and would not quit crying. I told her "Oh I am toe toe sorry." We still laugh about it.

You've gone from a bad/sad day to a "snappy" day to a happy day!
Amazing how life works like that.

Okay, where did you get the chicken fried steak. I want it. And even without the steak, it sounds like you had a stellar day. I just have to say--I think you are just the best Mom ever. I have gone back and read your archives--I love pictures :)--and it just makes my little grandmotherly heart smile at the bond you and Gage share. I think the world would be a much better place if you were to give Mom lessons. Seriously. It's just really very touching, and I'm glad you blog.

Have a great Sunday...

dont ever worry about being a B at work. Some days just really suck and we all have them. There was one day I came to work so messed up. I could barely look at anyone or listen to anyone else's crap without almost crying. It was a LONG day. Anyway, dont ever worry about it. I have a VERY, Very thick skin. see you on monday.

I love smelling my kid's heads after they have spent the day outside playing. There is such an innocence about it.

Hey girl, Good to hear from you. How'd you run across my blog? I'd email you, but don't exactly know how...

Sounds like a perfectly wonderful day!

Will says "Bonk" too! Then when I kiss it, I ask him, "Where's the boo-boo?" & he points to a spot, I kiss it, he points to another spot; kiss; another spot; kiss & so on & so on. I hope he never stops that. Well, maybe when he's 18 or so...cause that would just be weird.

We say 'bonk' too! As in "Lucy! Did you fall down and bonk your head?"

I'm glad that you had a better day today.
