That is VERY impressive, and also why you look so good! I, on the other hand, merely carted the groceries inside from the car. I, too, am going to have to blog fast or it won't happen. Ahhh, 51--it rocks :)! All I can say is, it's a good thing I'm still 25 in my mind. I salute you and your 9+ miles WITH Gage weight...
First of all, are you NUTS? Isn't it hot and humid there like it is here? LOL Impressive. And even moreso with a toddler - how in the WORLD did you keep him from going nuts in the stroller? Tyler would have been tearing that thing to pieces.
I don't even have a stroller anymore. He goes in the bike cart or on his own two-wheeler (with training wheels) when we are out and about. Or, on his spiderman scooter.
Gage walked at least a mile by himself. I went with two friends. One has an 8 week old, and the other is Aubri's mom (his little friend...) So, we stopped for 3 breaks for Leslie to nurse the new baby...and there are...gosh, 4 parks where we stopped to play for the nursing breaks.
Yay for you!!! I can easily walk 10 miles when it is nice outside and I have a friend to chat with, or my iPod....it is sooo refreshing! Heres to many more miles....: )
Someone told me today that you burn an extra 80 calories per mile when you're pushing a stroller. I'd probably make that 100 in your case, what with the hard-to-maneuver part.
Motherhood is...is...well, it's eventful. It's better than I ever imagined, and yet harder than I expected. It's definitely a learning process for me.
We've struggled with infertility, but we are happy to report that we now have a healthy and happy son, and a delightful daughter.
...and this blog details some of our adventures....and misadventures.
