Finally: Paint.
Hubby & I finally agreed on a paint color.
I found a pic of the paint color online, but it looks different online to me than it does in real life.... But, here it is anyway, Martha Stewart's Geyser:
And here's the bedding we have in there:
The smaller pattern has a lighter blue in it, and it seems to match the paint color well.
Our whole house is painted the same color: beige. It's nice & crisp with the white border & wood & iron stair railing... But it's starting to feel a bit...blah.
And, all of our houses around here look the same inside: tan. beige. We all have different floorplans, and different furnishings, and different counter-tops....but for the most part, we all have the "just built" walls. Which were great for a bit. Move-in-ready was a big selling point for us a year ago. Now, we're ready to mix things up a bit...
Here's what I read online about color psychology & blue:
BLUE
Good for relaxing and concentration -Use in bedroom, nursery (lighter & pastel blues), sitting room, study, bathroom, spa type rooms.
If the color is too dark of a blue the impression created can be depressing and cold.
Do not use blues in rooms that SCREAM activity or need physical movement such as halls, dining areas, entertainment/fun rooms, or stairways.
