MIA...

...sorry if I've seemed MIA since Christmas.
I blame this book:

Yesterday morning, I was on page 6.
At bedtime, I was on page 179.

I was not going to read it. I had no interest in some teen love story about vampires. So, why am I reading it? Well, I just HAVE to know 1st hand what all the buzz is about.

Got to say: it's an addictive easy read. Surprised me....

But, I may be the only to be annoyed by the repeated use of the word "murmured." I'm not even halfway through the book, and I'm already so sick & tired of reading that word. I'm just sayin'.....

Same for me! I was almost kind of embarrassed when I bought this book to read...but, then again, I read all four in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series and loved those, too. So, here I am--this old lady with the mind of a teenager, but as you always say--WHATEVER. :)

The vampire thing? No interest whatsoever. But I loved this book, and can't wait to read the others in the series. I'll look forward to your movie review when you see it.

I bought the first two books to see what the fuss is about. I haven't said this on blogs yet because I'm afraid of getting booed... but I think it's highly overrated. It's more of a teenager book if you ask me. It's kind of ridiculous and I just don't get all the hype. It's a nice, easy read so I'm on the 2nd book...but it took a few weeks to get through the first one. Going to bed sounded much better than staying up all night reading it. lol.

Ah Twilight...I will probably get bashed for this by the lovers of the series...but...

I too was attracted by all the hype and I honestly liked the first book. It kept my attention and I think it was a relatively okay written book. So I was hooked and bought the other three.

I was greatly disappointed. The author admits she had only planned on the first book, and it certainly seems that way to me. The second book was a drain on my existence. I almost quit reading the book and that is something that I never do! But I finally finished it and hoped that the last two books would be better.

And they were...but not as good as the first one, in my opinion.

If you haven't bought the other 3 books and you want to read them you can have mine. I doubt I will ever reread the series.

Gin---save the books for me.
I dunno if I'll read 'em or not. It's just going to depend on how much I like this book in the end...

Oh never noticed that. May have to reread it...again.

It is sad how, not so good, the other 3 books were compared to book 1. I so love this book though book 2 was okay. Just be prepared to not like 2 very much and let me know if you want to skip all the Jacob crap and I will tell you what page to skip to.
