Life Is Just So Daily

Thursday....

Well, I didn't blog at all yesterday. I really had a pretty busy day.

I still haven't heard from the doctor, but I've had time to think on it & sleep on it. I've decided that the mind is a very powerful & dangerous thing. Certainly the appointment I had the other day wasn't as easy-breezy as I thought it would be...but, my mind immediately jumps to "so you must have breast cancer!", and that may not be the case. AND: if they spend 14 days figuring that out, then fine. I would rather them take their time & be right, than to hurry & give me an answer & be wrong. So, this shall be an exercise in patience.

Moving along...
Yesterday, got to pick up my car. Oh, sweet little car of mine, how I missed you! You are small & perfect. I missed your heated seats. I missed your radio controls on the steering wheel. I missed your navigation system and 6 disc CD changer. I missed above all, the hand held control that unlocks the door. Yes, on the crappy Impala that they had me in---I had to walk to the driver's side. Insert a key. Unlock that door. Open that door & then press the button to unlock the other doors. Then---walk all the way around the car to open the back passenger door to put Gage in his car seat. Sucked big time. I appreciate technology & all of the conveniences it offers me. I missed my key fob clicker thing.

Since Dad is back in Big D, he came over. We went to lunch at Luby's & then he ran with me to pick up my car. After that, we ran by this "Dollar Tree" store. Gage was thrilled to get a little truck, two bouncy balls, and a bag of "suckies". Thanks, GrandDaddy Al!
...and then it was back to the casa. Time for a nap? Well, it was, but you can probably guess that this mama did not get that lucky. Instead, Gage was wound for sound & it was off to the backyard for all of us!

(okay, in the above picture----doesn't he look like he's waiting for a sign or something!??)

So, yesterday...there was swinging, and playing in the sandbox, and running & playing football. Gage had a blast with GrandDaddy Al.

I am so loving the new camera! Glad you have your car back. I the clicker to unlock my doors. It is such a hassle without. Thinking about you and your test...hope everything turns out ok.

I'm thinking of you a lot. I agree 100% that the mind is very powerful. You will be fine, no matter what happens. You are strong, beautiful, wonderful, smart and you have a fabulous life!

Gagey looks so cute "looking for the sign" ;)

WELCOME TO MY WORLD. I live with the 1998 LeSabre, and I love my car, but I do miss my Navigator's keyless entry, that's for sure! I'm a key-in-the-door kind of gal now. Question though - why didn't you just put Gage's seat on the driver's side? Is it a garage issue?

Thinking of you - positive thoughts and prayers!

Judy---no, it's a "handing Gage something" issue. If he's on the driver's side, then he is directly behind me. If he drops something, I can't get it & hand it back to him. If I need to reach him or see him, I can't. It's a me-issue, I guess.

Love the pictures. Looks like fun!

I'm sure your mammogram will be fine. The mind is powerful and can trick into believing things that are not there. Mine does it to me all the time :)
