Baby Kisses....
This picture was taken in April 2006.
Oh, how I miss Gage's Baby Kisses!
Now, his kisses are different. They've changed. He used to come at you, just thrusting his whole upper body in your direction with a big wet open mouth!
Now, he closes his mouth & purses his little lips. He still leans in for the kiss, but it's usually just his head, with his chin tilting appropriately. It's no longer that sweet-give-it-all-you've-got-baby-kiss.
Now, my big boy is so busy running & getting into EVERYTHING.
I would be lucky if a kiss were long enough to catch on camera!
They just grow so fast...

Does Gage still give you kisses if you ask for one? 90% of the time, if we ask Emily for a kiss (or a hug) she shakes her head no. Like, oh no, I just don't have it in me right now to kiss you.
Cracks me up every time.
On the rare occasions that we do get a kiss, we get the MWAH! noise with it. Sometimes she'll be playing and she'll come over to get a kiss and she starts the MMMM part of the MWAH! before she's even all the way over to my chair. Hysterical.
What did we laugh about before we had kids?
Hilarious!

I miss those baby kisses too. I was just thinking the other day that Liv only sits on my lap now when she is upset about something that happened at school.
And I am no longer her first choice for playmate. It used to be she hung around me all the time, wanting to play candyland, crazy eights, operation.
Now, she comes home and wants to go on the computer and play webkins with her friends. I'm the one nagging her about homework and violin practicing.
I remember being almost sick with exhaustion when she was a baby, just peeing in the bathroom alone was so cool. Now, I pine for the days when she wasn't bolting up and away.
What a cute little guy! Enjoy the magical (though exhausting) toddler stage. I miss it.
Awww, so sweet. My BFF Mary's son, Brock (2-years) calls me Aunt Mame (he can't say Amy).
I taught him how to fishy kiss this weekend, he can't get enough. I still miss the open mouth lunge though. =)
Oh, and I finally posted my meme to your tag... (hope I've got the lingo right). You are evil and must be destroyed.
I mean, um, thanks. =)
My wife has so many different kisses like the platapus(sp?) kiss, hollywood kiss, fish kiss, and on and on that she tries to teach to our newphew since we don't have kids just yet.

AWWW they grow too fast don't they? At least the kisses involve less spit as they get older!
Our kisses are evolving too. It's hard to watch them grow up, but they just keep getting to be more fun right?
Just be thankful you are getting kisses! A day will come when our babies will be too cool and too busy for kisses you know :)
my 8 year old only started consenting to cheek kisses a year ago or so. the first kiss i got, i stayed real calm in front of him, then calmly left the room and had a freak-out session.
my 5 yr old would still give me those big open-mouth kisses if i would let her. gross.
My son who is 3 has started to blow me kisses. If I blow one back he says "I ate it mama!"
I loves baby kisses.... bit wet baby kisses!
Adorable pics!
I'm pretty sure that as my son grows up, he'll get tired of kissing us, so my wife and I kiss him as much as we can! =D My son is a kissing monster actually...he'll come at you with his big open mouth, and once our lips touch, it becomes a spitty slobbery mess XD
