Downtown Sights...

So, last night, we grabbed dinner at Ruby Tuesday. It's a chain, but I'm not sure we have any near us in Dallas. I haven't seen any, but then again, I haven't really paid that much attention either.

It's like a Chili's...

After that, we went downtown to check out the sights.

We started at the Salt Lake City & County Building. It used to serve as the capitol building...

Then, we went down to Temple Square. It was so beautiful. The grounds were so clean and peaceful. The bulbs were all popping up & some were blooming. It was just a very wonderful place to be.

Leaving Temple Square...

I'd love to tell you where we were....but I can't say the damn street name!
"Um, hi....we're on hootchi-coo lane!"

And then we drove up to the Capitol Building. During the day, we could see it at the top of a hill. But, it was dark by the time we made our way up there.
Well, Utah should certainly get some recognition for saving energy...because they don't bother to light up the Capitol at night! Check out our photo...that's about as good as you can see the building at night!!!!

Hi Lainey, thanks for visiting my blog! :)

Hey, I live in Salt Lake City and you mentioned that we don't light up the Capitol. It's because the entire building is totally under construction. They actually had it lifted and a contraption was placed under the building so if there's an earthquake it will slide back and forth instead of crashing down.

Lovely photos, by the way!

Hootchy Koo Lane? In SLC? Somehow, I don't think that's the name.
