Man vs. Wife, the High Chair Edition.

ONE of us wants THIS high chair:

The OTHER ONE wants THIS high chair:

I won't use this forum to plead the case of the one that will CLEARLY be a better choice, because that would be unfair....
...or hey, we could always compromise for this $800+ chair that's going to be a pain in the a$$ to clean, but it sure will be a conversation piece....

The high chairs: what do you think?
Which is better, and for what reason??? {If you vote for the $800+ compromise, you better be ready to chip in for that...}

Neither. Get one that attaches to a chair. Easier to clean, takes up less space, and cheaper! Although, I do like that $800 high chair though!

I vote with Brandie! Either way, get 2 one for your house and one for mine lol

A lot of my friends like the ones that attach to chairs, but I also like the stand-alone chairs since we entertain a lot and sometimes run short on chairs/table space.

We are thinking something in a similar wood finish to our dining room table since it will live there (we don't have a kitchen table). Definitely more like the first one!

Brandie & Jess: We want a stand alone one. We currently only have 4 chairs at the table, and I'm HOPING to change to bench seating at some point....

And Jess, besides: where would y'all sit if the baby seat is there!?!

What about nether and go for this one?

I would think if it attached to a chair it would be harder to clean? Thats why I didnt go that way, but maybe I was wrong.

Oh, fun!

I might vote for the second because it looks like it has the ability to grow with the child. That's awfully handy. Also, it looks like plastic-y, and like less fabric to clean. But, I'm guessing I'm voting for the wrong one?

We got Stokke Tripp Trapps with the Play Tray. Noah (at 5 years old) still sits in his without the tray and harness, of course. They 'fit' (well, sort of) with the rest of our dining room furniture. I know some people have had tipping problems with these chairs, but we never have. I love the Tripp Trapps... can you tell?

Thanks for stopping by last week!

I have a big stand alone high chair, and I also have a couple of the ones that attach to a seat. I personally like the ones that attach to a seat. It takes up so much less space, and I like having the baby right up at the table with us.

What happened to your first high chair? We saved everything. Poor Guppy has never used a new baby product (not that he cares).

Neither- the Graco 4 in 1 is really nice because its an adjustable stand alone, but also detaches and can be used on a chair- perfect for traveling or visiting friends without kids. And easy to clean! - Susan

I vote for #1! I have had both stand alone and the kinds that sits on the seat. I don't like how they take away a chair when we only had 4 seats. We switched to a bench on one side once the youngest was done with the high chair. I don't think I have ever commented and now I just wrote a book!

I had the graco one (almost identical in fabric) I didn't really like it because the fabric part got soooooo nasty and after a few washes came apart. I vote for the modern looking one that looks like it grows with the child! And it looks so much easier to clean and doesn't look like it has a lot of crevices to clean? -Leslie S.

I don't want to say neither because clearly that wasn't the question....so of the two...I like #1. The second one is just strange.....BUT....now that I have answered the question, we use the Space Saver high chairs too from Fisher Price and LOVE THEM!!!! :)

We know that if mamma is not happy, no body is happy. Go with what you want. You will have to look at it more and use it more. We have a stand alone and one that attached to the chair. By the way, every time we see something in black and white Kaylie says, "ooohhh, I bet Laine would love this, don't you?"
