Today!

Well, first & foremost: Happy Birthday to me!

Ooooh, what fun.
I think I've finally reached that age where I could care less about my b-day.

Gage update: feeling better. No fever in 24+ hours. The rash---seems to be clearing up. Worse in the heat/sun. Maybe a sun reaction to abx??? maybe. Who knows. Kids are weird, fevers freak us out, and he's feeling better. The last part is all that matters. We're going to finish the course of the antibiotics, and just move on.

Last Saturday, Mom showed up with a birthday gift for me, all the ingredients for cupcakes, and a "feel better" card for Gagie. What a pleasant experience! She had Trystan with her, and my sister came over. We all spent the day hanging out since Gage was starting to feel better. {I think perhaps Gage overdid it that day playing-playing-playing with Trystan, but it was soooooo nice for him to have a long fever-free stretch, and to see him wanting to play outside, so I let him!}

Today: doctor appointments (since it's my day off!), and studying for an exam tomorrow {BOR-ING!}.....What was learned at my physical this morning? I have diminished reflexes in my left leg. Probably from when I fell & fractured part of my pelvis/hip some years ago {at the time, I knew it hurt, but didn't know it was broken. It didn't reeeeally start hurting until after it was healed on its own. crazy. that's when I found out that I had broken it in the first place...} Anyway, I told her, "well, as long as I can walk, run, and still kick people, I don't really consider it a problem."

today....I'd like to spend a little time cleaning house.
I spent a little time decorating one of the apothecary jars my mom brought me for my birthday.
I also got a smoothie from Smoothie King {Melis & Jess----how long has it been since you've had a smoothie from Smoothie King!!!???? The flavor totally takes me back...}

Okay, that's about all for now. I've made couscous for lunch so I gotta boogie.
