Friday Night Fun at the Dairy-Ette!
So...there's this total hole in the wall place in Dallas across from Bishop Lynch called the Dairy-Ette.
Apparently AALLLL the neighbor gals have been there except me.
It's kind of like Kellers...but it has a small diner too.
They make their own Root Beer! I LOVE ROOT BEER!
Yes, people drive up, & then sit out in their own chairs & meet up at the Dairy-Ette. The place has been here for twenty-some-odd years....
Gage brought a few dinosaurs...they ate "Dinosaur Food", also known as Sweet-n-Low.
And....we drank LOTS of Root Beer in big frosty mugs!
It was a ton of fun. Word to the wise if you choose to check out the Dairy-Ette: (1) one order of fries will be enough for 2 people, or 2 people & a toddler. There's no need to order 3 orders of fries just because 3 people will be eating... (2) The Dairy-Ette is cash only. And if you end up not having enough cash---there's an ATM across the street at the 7-11.

I love root beer! I went to the A&W by my house after my root canal and got a root beer float and it made me so happy. That place sounds like so much fun. And I never have cash anymore, either!
Leslie: Hubby & I each had a cheeseburger & fries. Gage had a hot dog & fries. And, we ALL had Root Beer!

Homemade root beer? That sounds great! I love root beer as well, but have never had any homemade root beer!
I love places like this! We have one here called scoopers that is kind of like this but they don't make their own root beer...they make a million and one different kinds of milk shakes!!

Soooo, I love french fries and root beer. I never have cash either. My mom says it is our generation because she always has at least some cash.
I am coming to Dallas as soon as things settle down around here and I'd LOVE to meet you. I'd love to go shopping and hang out. It's one of my favorite things.
Thanks for asking me about my safety. We will be hit pretty hard, yes. Luke & I live in an old house that sits up off the ground so it probably won't flood but I don't feel safe from the winds and rains. We will probably just go to my mom's house.

JACKELOPE: Okay...when Hubby poured the Sweet-n-Low out on the table & the dinosaurs took to it---that's exactly what I thought too. I felt like I was watching some trippy scene out of the movie, "Blow" or "Spun"...

I don't ever carry cash either. And I am always shocked when someone asks for it! :) Looks like a good time was had by all.
