A Quick Few Words About Halloween...

So, I feel weird posting about this without pictures!
I still haven't gotten the pics developed (dig. cam is on the fritz)...
Anyway....

Gage hated Halloween, and I swear: until my child says, "I want a costume, I want to go trick or treating, I want to do this whole Halloween thing", we're not going to do it again! Not until I hear him utter those words.

I was shocked that my son liked Halloween this year. Next year, I don't expect the same good fortune. I hope it goes better for you next year!

That stinks : ( As he gets older he will like it and be more fun. The boys were a blast this year, it was def. the best year thus far!

Trick or treating in the wagon was the only time that evening that my child was happy at all. I'm thinking he can be a bee every night and I'll gladly drag his little butt around the neighborhood every evening if we can MAKE. THE. IRRITABILITY. GO. AWAY.

Was he scared or tired? T didn't do that well last year when he was 3, wanting to stop much sooner than the older kids. This year he hung on but was still scared of anyone wearing a scary mask.

Whatever - you'll be dressing him up next year and taking lots of cute pictures, regardless of his displeasure with Halloween. Mommies are suckers for things like that.

Man I kind of wish that Evan had been like that. Tonight we had a sobbing fit when I had to tell him that we were not going trick or treating again until next year.

All my middle son ever wanted to do was put on a costume and give out the candy. By the time he was five, peer pressure kicked in and off he went!

So sorry to hear that! You will have to show some pics for sure when you get them.

Yeah Halloween seems to pretty go either one way or another with the toddlers. It's a love LOVE or a hate HATE.

I think you're doing the right thing by waiting until he asks to participate. Why torture yourself?
