Eddie Update....

Eddie had surgery this morning.
He was having some issues....turns out, he had prostate & testicular problems that were ultimately blocking his bowels, and there was some concern about his bowels perforating since he was so...full, and unable to pass anything b/c his prostate was in the way...

Anyway...he's been at the vet's since Saturday morning.
He had surgery today. Left testicle was okay (but removed anyway...), right testicle was necrotic, vas deferens had been blocked, prostate was waaaaaaaay enlarged, so he was neutered, and according to the vet---doing much better. There was an infection (related to the right testicular necrosis), so he will be on IV antibiotics for at least the next 24 hours. We can go visit this afternoon, and maybe bring him home tomorrow.



...asked the vet about our bill...um, at noon we were looking at $800-$1000. Again, that was at noon today. It's only going to go up from there...

...dont get me wrong: I'm not saying he's not worth it! I'm just saying....this is going to cost over a thousand dollars... eeeeeeeeeeeek!
