Christmas Morning....

Okay, so I posted about Christmas at Darnin's, which was the weekend before Christmas.
I've posted about Christmas Eve church and hanging with friends....

Christmas day was nothing short of eventful! It was certainly interesting!

Now, since Gage has joined our family, our rule is: our kids will wake up in their house on Christmas morning. We don't spend the night away. That's just how it is...

So, Gage woke up on Christmas morning and it was ON!
Santa left him gifts in the living room and under his tree in his room. He had those and gifts from Mommy & Daddy. What did I notice the most this year? He said "Thank You" after every gift he opened. It was so sweet!

I've got a ton of pictures to post. You may notice a wardrobe change for Gage. He was NOT going to wear the Christmas jammies I got him and provided ahead of time. He's too grown up and cool for that. But, when he opened a pair of Annoying Orange jammies, he stopped what he was doing to go put them on. Those were a hit!

Pics from the day...

Now, I have to tell you....a few days before Christmas, Gage had this idea that we should write letters to each other and draw pictures. We should put them in each others' stockings and open/read them Christmas morning. It was so sweet!
Here is Gage reading his letter...

Other pictures from our morning...

Crayola DigitTools for the iPad were a hit!!!

....and THEN what happened???? It snowed here in Texas!!!! We got a White Christmas!

We had some family over in the afternoon. I gave Dad the simplest of tasks: "why don't you pick up a couple of rotisserie chickens?" We are all kind of over the whole turkey and dressing thing, and this keeps him from having to cook. Well, he waited until Christmas Day to get them! We joke about this, so he's okay with me ragging him about it. He ended up at Grandy's and brought fried chicken. It was quite an event, I assure you!

Sadly, they didn't get to stay long because the weather really started to threaten the roads.
:(

So....that was our White Christmas.
Family time was funny, but cut short.
I was 19 weeks pregnant that day.
....and it was realllllly cold!
