Paul Frank Store LA Tweeter can SUCK IT!

So, those are the tweets from the Paul Frank Store in LA.
Or rather---from an employee at the Paul Frank Store in LA.
Who clearly speaks for everyone when he/she tweets, made "ourselves" uncomfortable.

Now....I'm going to give Julius the monkey the benefit of the doubt.
But the random tweeter: not so much.
Guess what that person can do? Suck it!
How's THIS for making you uncomfortable:

But hey---guess what? The tweeter won't ever have to worry about seeing me breastfeed in real life, because you won't catch me in the store. {Oh, and I don't currently have any milk or a baby to breastfeed...but that's not the point!}

Now, I'm still a big fan of Small Paul items, and we currently own some Small Paul stuff. But---that company is going to have to dish out a MUCH better apology than THAT, and perhaps a hefty donation to the LaLeche League if they expect to earn my business back.

What a Tweeting TWIT.
I'm just sayin'....

From the Paul Frank Website:
Exciting News!! Tori Spelling is going to read from ONLY IN DREAMS to her son Liam in an upcoming episode of TORI AND DEAN: HOME SWEET HOLLYWOOD! This episode is set to air APRIL 19th so check it out.

And what is Tori’s response to the anti-breastfeeding tweet sent out by the LA store employee???

As you can see, it's awaiting moderation. Doubt it'll get approved...

Ok, so your blog post title has me giggling. I like the double entendre.
I have never even heard of this store, but am shocked that an employee was allowed to twitter something like that about breastfeeding. Doesn't give me a good impression.

I've seen the stuff at Target, but since I didn't know what it was suppose to be I never bought it. Now I'm glad I didn't. And kudos to you for the picture!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that tweet in my timeline.

It is unfortunately a good representation of the ignorance and blatant disregard some people have for others and their rights.

"All we can do is apologize"?

Lame. Lame. Lame.

First, you can at least pull the Twitter license from whoever you had representing your store to the world--a smart business move too.

Second, you can educate your employees--and managers--about motherhood, fatherhood, this whole kid thing in general. Probably another smart business move since parents and kids form a large part of your target market, you knucklehead.

Third, you can put your newfound knowledge into practice by enacting new, progressive company policies about parenting issues, demonstrating that it's not just pretty words. Actions speak louder.

So, apologize isn't all that you can do--it's the very least that you could do. Thanks for showing us that you're either too apathetic or ignorant to respond meaningfully to this.

You always crack me up, BUT..I must say - I am on the employees side on this one. When you're in public, keep your boobs in all their glory in your shirt! I don't want to see them and your sweet baby sucking on them. I am sure that store has a bathroom or at least cover those puppies up. Sweet Jesus.

You know how I feel about this one!! If makes you feel uncomfortable...DONT LOOK!!! People don't get uncomfortable when a baby is drinking a bottle. Get over it!!! I am all about using a cover up but people still talk about being uncomfortable....I AM NOT....AM NOT....AM NOT going to the bathroom to feed my child!!!!! You would not go sit in the bathroom to eat your burger so don't ask me to feed my baby milk in the bathroom. Covering up...okay. If someone wants to nurse without covering up...so....who cares! Look away...exactly what I choose to do when I see thongs sticking out of the top of pants or pants hanging so low that I want to yank the suckers down just to embarrass the crap out of someone or girls that wear things that are WAY TOO SMALL for their bodies, catch my drift...just because it isn't your "cup o tea" GET OVER YOURSELF!

I'm just gonna ditto what Rikki said.

Like hell I am gonna feed my baby in the freakin' bathroom. That is where you pee.

Breastfeeding is why God created boobies!!!!

I don't understand why Americans are so afraid of seeing boobs. Walk around Europe and they are on billboards....no...big...deal. In certain areas of Africa, they don't even have shirts. Get over it people!!

Nice post and LOVE the sweet pic!! :)

Depending on the circumstances, no you should not have to go to the bathroom to feed your baby. BUT your breasts are also a 'private part' that should be kept private. Nurse anywhere you want, just use a cover or blanket. I have seen it too many times where women breast feed and then just leave their boob out while adjusting/burping. Cover it up! Not appropriate for kids to see....or other men.

Are you tweeting now?

At 17 I worked at Kay-Bee toys and saw a woman breast feeding in the doll aisle. It was different but I didn't think much of it. Actually I kind of detered the boys away beacuse I know they wanted to check it out. Oh lord...17 year old boys. Losers!

OK Ladies, I get it. And I apologize. My kids are adopted, so I haven't been there. you're right, you should NOT have to go to a bathroom to feed your baby. I take it back. I barely want to take my four year old daughter in there to do that. My Bad. Please forgive me! I just wanna say though...I STILL don't want to see boobs when I am out shoppping. I am sorry. I just don't. I wouldn't be offended if they were properly covered. We don't live in Europe or Africa. We live HERE in AMERICA and that just happens to be a nation where it is not totally acceptable to do that. If I were in Africa - NO WAY I would oppose. I would respect heir culture and their ways. I am a Social Worker and liberal, I just don't want to see your boobs. Can that be ok? -Damn, sorry about the bathroom comment. :)
