Easter Celebrations. Part One.
Well...on Friday, after the family visitation at the funeral home, we packed up & headed out of town. It truly was a much needed break from the intensity of the previous weeks.
Saturday morning began with the Easter Egg Hunt at Darnin's church. Gage went last year, and he was recently talking about it, wanting to return for the hunt this year. So, we did.
:)
And---last year at this time, we were renovating bathroom #1 at the old home, so Hubby was in Dallas while we were in Tyler. This year, Hubby was with us.
Gage & Daddy had some serious strategy to map out...
We had fun goofing around until the egg hunt started.
...and they were OFF! {all the kids in Gage's age category...}
Success! Check out all those eggs!
Back at Darnin's...
mmmmmm....candy is good.
A little story for ya: Trystan & Gage are cousins. Trystan let us all know that Gage is HIS cousin. So, the boys are in the backseat of Hubby's car, and we were driving either to the egg hunt or home from the egg hunt, and from the backseat I hear Trystan say, "Gage, you're my cousin. I'm gonna call you 'Cuz'." It was so cute. So, Trystan & his 'Cuz' played back at Darnin's with Gage's home-made Ghostbusting costume {which Hubby gets mega-props for making one Saturday when Mommy had to work a twelve hour shift}.
So cute to watch creative play...
And that concludes Part One of the Whirlwind Weekend Easter Celebration.
Stay tuned for Parts Two+.
:)
