Saturday: The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco.

We headed down to Waco last Saturday, and went to the Cameron Park Zoo {which was great, by the way!}, and we were lucky enough to get to see it all before it started raining!



We parked...got in....and got the map...




...and then when we got on our way---someone fell.
This happened:

So, we headed back up to the front & got these bandaids so that we could go on with our day.

Gage wanted to see the giraffes first....but because of the storm headed in, the giraffes were put away. We could still see them, but apparently if a storm is coming, and there may be lightning---then they put up the giraffes first.

Because I'm sick & twisted {okay, immature}, I found this LITTLE animal to be so funny. Gotta say---the little DikDik was so small. Bless his little heart....



Then Daddy & Gage got fish food to feed to the fish...



All was well...until...Daddy dropped the whole thing of food into the water, and it started raining...it was just clearly time to go.


And in the end, a great day was had by all.
Gage got a t-shirt.
He got to see a new zoo. He's now been to 4 zoos in 3 years. Way to go, buddy!
