Date Nite!!!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Okay, so last night I went on a date with my little man.

Let's see....since the illness that plagued the Casa de Lainey-Paney, our days & nights have been TOTALLY screwed up around here.
Yesterday, Gage went down for a nap at 3:55, and woke up before 7. So, what did we do? We got dressed, got happy, and headed to NorthPark for a little Mommy-Son Fun.
:)

We took Tera's birthday gifts to her....finally.
I've had them since her birthday; wrapped & ready to go on my kitchen table...but too ill to venture out & deliver them all the way across the street.

So, that was our first stop on date nite.

After that, it was to see the water fountain, get Mama some mango tea, and down to the play area.
I just LOVE the mall at Christmas time!
So many people, and Christmas decorations, and shopping....so much fun.
I chatted up a couple who was there & their sons were playing with Gage. Thought it might be a good opportunity to get a school review out of some Dallas parents. Turns out----they live in Rockwall, and their sons go to a school in Heath that I was not familiar with, but will certainly be checking into! [I know, I know...Gage is only 3. But, our public schools in this city are not really what I want my child to attend, and I'm always on the lookout for private school reviews from parents who're already there, already done the work, etc.]
Anyway....they were fun to chat with, and very nice.

Santa was there.
We didn't bother.
Don't get me wrong: I'm all for standing in line, pumping the kiddo up to see Santa, etc. BUT...my kid doesn't like strangers to begin with. He's 3, so lines aren't really "his thing", and the wait to see Santa was CA-RA-ZY. Not worth it to me if it wasn't a big deal to Gage.

Had fun playing.
:)

And then....we came home to THIS...

It was sleeting/snowing while we were in the mall. The drive home was a snap. No biggie. Here at the house, Gage was excited about it for a few minutes....then, he was just annoyed that it was on his shoes...

It was a good time...
:)
And then...then I came inside & watched The Biggest Loser. Hello, I am going to throw a fit if Vicky wins. Ugh.
I'm just sayin'.....

NO freakin' way Vicki will win...it just CANNOT happen!

And let me just say that in the last 5 days we have driven thru Washington, Oregon and Northern California and didn't see ANY snow. We drive across the Texas border and from El Paso to Kerrville it was snowing...CRAZY!!! Anyway...sounds like you and your lil man had a great time!!

hmm...mama/son dates...sounds fun! we've never been "trying" specifically for a boy or gir, but little cuties like gage make me wonder if we should have 5 kiddos instead of the 4 we always talked about.

and seriously vicki cannot win. i will puke. and is she a nurse?? i never realized that until she was trying on scrubs. i could not work with her. ugh.
