Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Before:

After:

Why, yes....my son had to get a buzz-cut haircut.

I went to pick Gage up from Memaw's house today... I suppose Memaw thought he needed a hair trimming...because she tried to trim his hair today. Well, apparently, he jerked, or moved, or something. And...then, she had to keep cutting to try & straighten the mis-cut....and it kept getting shorter, and shoerter... So, when I got there to pick Gage up...I just said, "Oh, Memaw!" And, then I took Gage straight to a hair cutting place. The lady cutting Gage's hair took one look & said, "Oh, I can't fix this. We'll just have to cut it off short, and let the other parts grow out."
UGH.

So, I don't think that he looks horrible or anything....he just doesn't look like I'm used to seeing him!
So, maybe it will grow on me. For now, I just....I just miss his kind-of-crazy-every-which-way hair.

And no---I don't hate my mother-in-law.
She is VERY very VERY good to us.
And in the past, she's trimmed Gage's hair, and everything was fine... But, not this time.
I just miss his hair.

For now...We have this:

I see this hairstyle on the children of others. It looks cute!
But for some reason, on Gage, it just doesn't seem right...or not yet.

...until it grows out, we can always cover it, right?

You can take heart in the fact that no hair cut could ever hide his adorable-ness. I love the smile with the cup.

It is a shock for sure! I would have be quite upset really.... only consolation is it will grow again! You are very good not being upset. He is still an adorable wee man.

Aaaaw Gage doesn't seem upset and you will get used to the new hair. It will grow back and it doesn't make him any less adorable.

Oh my! What a change...but he looks so cute. I think theshock will wear off...and part of it is that he looks so grown up!!!

Funny, I also posted about my little man's hairt cut!

Gage looks very happy! No worries, hair does grow back!

In some of the pictures, the haircut almost makes him look older! You might have trouble with the ladies on the playground now :)

It doesn't look bad and if you don't like it it'll grow back soon!

My daughter got gum stuck in her hair last week and I was afraid I was going to have to take a pair of scissors to her beautiful blonde hair. I got it out, but I'm pretty sure she will never do that again!

He looks cute with it, but I'm sure it will grow out quickly. My uncle once decided to buzz cut my cousins light red hair. His hair was so light that you could see several freckles all over his little noggin. My aunt never let my uncle do that again.

He looks cute! And yes, it will grow back. We gave K a buzz when he wouldn't hold still for the barber. Not my favorite look on him, either.

It's funny you mention trying to trim things up. I did that this morning to K. I didn't want to pay $$$ for them to take 3 snips of hair off over his ears.

We were going to buzz Seth's hair, but decided against it since it is so cold here. He is so cute. I think that it will grow on you. If not, it will grow out quick.

He is still very adorable, although, I know how it feels to not be prepared for it. My grandmother had this superstition that you don't cut a babies hair before they are a year old. This was instilled in me as well. Then my middle daughter decided that the baby needed a haircut and chopped a few locks off before she thought maybe it was a bad idea. I immediately took him to a barber and got it straightened up. But he instantly went from baby to boy.
He's still a doll baby though!

He still looks uber adorable.

I know what you mean. It would be easier to cut Zakary's hair like that but to me, that would make him look older so I don't.

I was crushed when we went through the lice debacle last summer (say that out loud and see if your head doesn't start itching!)...the best way to combat it was to shave my boys' beautiful heads. BUT, they LOVED it, and it does grow on you after a while. We're pretty much grown out now, but I'm actually considering volunarily shaving their heads for the summer again.

You're just not used to it yet. He looks ADORABLE! And tough (just in case any men in your life think adorable is a bad thing).

ahhhh! he still looks adorable! that's all we can do with my Joe's hair...buzz it off. he's got so many cowlicks on that big ole head of his. buzzing it off is the only way to keep Joe from looking like a band member in Flock of Seagulls. :)

He looks like such a big boy! We have to do a quasi-buzz on our boys and still, everytime, I'm always a little stunned by the transformation.

His smile in that second haircut photo is electric!

I like his new haircut! Very cute!!

You know, since I recently started reading this blog, I've noticed your son looks a lot like my daughter...or she looks a lot like him...at least to me. There's something about him that just reminds me so much of her.

I am so glad I have not crossed the hair cutting road yet. Ella is 2 1/2 and still has not needed a hair cut. Thank god. I have a feeling she would move around a lot too, can you imagine if Gage was a girl and ended up with a buzz cut.

I think he looks adorable.

Look at it again in a week. You'll never know...

He's a cutie any way you look at him.

Aww. I buzz my boys now and then and every time I swear I won't do it again but then it gets too shaggy and I get tired of styling it and off comes the hair. It does take some getting used to at first.

awwww...he looks like a Big Boy now...not a Baby.

and let me tell you...if my mother or MIL EVER did that to one of my kids heads? OMG! I would be in jail! ;)

Haha! He actually seems quite cheerful about it!

Gosh he's adorable... I am already dreading the day that Cole needs a haircut though! I love his crazy little hairs!

That is why there is a FIRM rule that my MIL is not allowed to touch my children's hair. Although, most because she'd "accidentally" make a mistake that would lead to a buzz. It drives her nuts that I let Dylan's hair get "long."

Oh, duh. Gage looks adorable. Sometimes I have to be reminded that it's not all about me. Ha!
