Airport Adventures....

We left for Vail early Saturday morning.
Gage was very excited to be riding in GrandDaddy Longhorn's truck. {Yes, he calls Hubby's Dad 'GrandDaddy Longhorn.' Big UT fan.}

Gage got an early birthday gift from Memaw & Poppa....the coveted Pillow Pet.
Happy much?


Once at the airport, we got to ride the train & the escalator...


A truck, train, escalator & plane all in one day? This child couldn't contain his excitement {not that you can tell from the escalator shot, but that was more about his Mom taking a picture of his every step}, and the trip ONLY got BETTER!

Who's hungry?
Gage....that's who! He ordered up the largest cinnamon roll he could find.



Shortly thereafter, it was time to board the aircraft.
This little guy was super excited!


The airport was really a fairly pleasant experience. Gage was excited about pulling the luggage, seeing everything, and excited about flying. The flying went off without a hitch. I thought he'd sleep the whole way there, but no such luck. He wasn't bouncing off the walls, but he was definitely too excited to sleep. So, we talked, looked out the window, talked some more, and snacked all the way to Colorado. Thought he'd play with his Leapster or color. Again, no such luck. I packed his carry-on with fun stuff to do, but none of it was used. There were too many things on the plane to look at, and touch, and buttons to push, and window shades to raise & lower & raise & lower & you get the picture.
Good times.

So, Gage's 1st flight was a success!
