Packing. Moving. Shoot Me.

This whole "packing" thing.
Ugh.

If Hubby & I don't kill each other---it will be a miracle.

"Your Honor---I didn't hit him; he RAN into the frying pan....twice."
{right after we had a conversation where he said, "We don't neeeeed this. You NEVER use it." and I followed it up with, "That's because I've been looooooking for it for FIVE years!", and he said, and "I doubt that, and what about THIS?" (as he holds up something that I consider fun, and creative, and I have BIG plans for), and I say, "Well, I'm going to use that. I was going to...." and then he put it in the 'discard' pile...before I could stop him---and THAT's when he ran into the cast iron skillet that I was just.about.to.pack. I swear.}

I'm just sayin'.......

I could tell when I talked to you today. You need to tell him that every time something of yours ends up in the discard pile, something of his will too.

As a recovering hoarder (packing up my mom’s apartment is curing me) I’m following this advice in my own home: If you haven’t used it in 1-2 years, purge. Of course, there are just some things you love and have to keep. ;)
Good luck – and avoid heavy objects when packing together!

Retaining items is like a break-up, it only takes one person who wants to keep it to KEEP IT! Just like a break-up, if one person wants to break-up, you break-up. Hanging onto things needs no explanation, especially when you are moving to a bigger house with more space to put it all in! I say let him throw whatever he wants into the discard pile. Then stand in the discard pile. . .when you start discarding things I enjoy or want, I go to."

Melissa---there was a picture of YOU in the discard pile.

{I'm totally just kidding. We still have the framed picture of the first time y'all met.}

grrrrr robs philosophy is throw it all away. i want to fuck him up sometimes. he throws away so much. and not even while we move or pack, one night after going to the store, i did like normal and set all the new stuff i got for lunches and work on the corner of the island (i do this because if i don't i will forget it exists for two weeks and whine that i have nothing for brandons lunch) anyway rob decides he is going to do the trash and sees "some boxes" on the island and threw THEM ALL AWAY. i wanted to fucking kill him. probably like 40.00 in food right in the shitter.

a few days later he threw away something really important for work. he is never allowed near the trash again
