Hook 'Em Horns!

So, Damon's dad got Gage a new tricycle for our house:

He has a smaller tricycle at Memaw & Poppa's house...but this one is for our house. And it's all Longhorned out.

Damon's dad went to UT, and he's been spoiling Gage with Longhorn goodies since the day he was born.

He says he'll pay for college if Gage goes to UT.

The orange & white are taking over like kudzu.

Paying for college is pretty cool...
Although we live hours away from my hometown, my parents are working on outfitting Little Elvis in my high school colors (my dad's the Athletic Director there, I didn't peak in high school or anything.) They bought him a small plastic scoot tricycle thing that was blue and put the high school logos on it. And my mom bought him a yellow windbreaker with blue writing for this fall and a blue one with yellow writing for next fall. It's fun.

Ah. It is the Cornhuskers for us. We live for football here in Nebraska and it is not uncommon to see everyone decked out in red and white and game days. Bing received her master's from UNL, so we get free season passes to the football games and we are part of the "sea of red" in Memorial stadium on game days.

But...I don't care if Liv goes to UNL. It is kind of party college if you aren't a football player. I'd like her to shoot for Harvard....but since she isn't coming into a big inheritance (my parents are dead and Bing's family is poor as dirt), she might have to settle for something a little less pricey.

I think we play you guys this season.....

I played softball for most of my life. No, really most of my life. I started little league in (gulp) 1974 and played every year thereafter until I ripped my ACL sliding into home (of course I was safe!)in 2001. Cat Osterman is my hero! We were in the grocery store and some guy walked by with a UT baseball cap on & Maggie held up her "horns" and yells "LONGHORNS!!!"
