San Diego Trip! Part I

Back in September, we took a trip to San Diego, and went to Coronado Island, & Legoland, & the San Diego Zoo. It was also Navy Fleet Week, so that was a lot of fun for Gage. It was a great trip!

Daddy had to go to California & Mexico for business. Gage & I flew out on a Thursday after work. Daddy picked us up at the airport, we got a rental car, and headed to eat dinner.

The next morning, we woke up & this was our view from the balcony of the hotel room:

We headed out the door to check out the ships!
{First up: USS Midway, for history, check out www.midwaysailor.com}

{Star of India; for history, check out http://www.sdmaritime.org/star-of-india/}

Gage & I actually wanted to see the sights in one of these...

...from here...

But, it wasn't meant to be. They weren't yet open, and they only seat two people...and we weren't super familiar with California car seat laws to see if it was even legal....Lord knows it probably wasn't super safe, but it looked like fun!

One thing that was awesome that morning: we met a Military Police soldier/cop guy with the K-9 unit. All of Gage's things wrapped up into one profession! I didn't even know that was a job, but it is, and Gage was in AWE.

After that---we were off to the zoo!
That concludes part I of the San Diego Trip.
I'll have to post the zoo pics another time.

I know you ALL had to have had a blast in San Diego. That is, by far, one of the top trips we have EVER done as a family. The boys still talk about the zoo and Legoland (and Scott and I still talk about our hotel that served complementary adult beverages from 5 - 8 every night and we scheduled EVERYTHING around that! HAHA). Such a fun place!

Some things never change - son # 2 was a Ghostbuster fanatic way back when! Gage's t-shirt brought back memories... :)

Legoland is awesome! I've only been to the one in Denmark (the original one), and that was years ago when I was a little girl...I can't wait to bring my boys!
