Chances are that he/she may not have a clue what is going on. I guess I am lucky, I have a really good doctor and the office staff is da bomb! It is a bit of a drive to medical city Dallas and there are times that I wait a little longer then I would like (I have learned to schedule the first morning appointment or first after lunch) but I know that is because she is seeing a child that is really sick like she did for my Sara when she was sick.

I can call that day if my child is not well and they will do whatever they need to do to fit us in even if that mean staying late for me.Zephrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04036187147036400140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-6779016328984061502007-10-23T14:15:00.000-07:002007-10-23T14:15:00.000-07:00Wow, I agree that you need a new pediatrician's of...Wow, I agree that you need a new pediatrician's office. That's horrible! I'm glad that you were able to fully enjoy your day, though. Especially after having such a rough weekend.Pregnantly Plumphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16520084082888706200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-38931705283582703292007-10-23T12:45:00.000-07:002007-10-23T12:45:00.000-07:00Okay, I'm forced to agree that your pediatrician d...Okay, I'm forced to agree that your pediatrician does indeed suck. Or at least their scheduling system does. A better option is for there to be morning and evening walk-in clinic hours for sick visits. That's what my girls' pediatrician offers and we've taken advantage of it many times--no appointments necessary!

I totally envy your solitary housekeeping day! Even if it's also chore time, having that grown-up time is SO crucial and rare once you've got kids.Sugarmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04425625624997484305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-71337479614976221852007-10-23T11:07:00.000-07:002007-10-23T11:07:00.000-07:00I'm so jealous! I didn't even realize it had been quite that long!

Anyway, you really need get another pediatrician. If you lived in Phoenix, I would have a fabulous recommendation for you. She was my ped. when I was a baby and she took care of my boys when we lived there. Dr. Rhumba was awesome! I was never put off more than two hours if I felt we needed to be seen right away and the kids actually relaxed when she would walk in the room.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-58789537904395277742007-10-23T09:25:00.000-07:002007-10-23T09:25:00.000-07:00OMG your peds office is appalling! The pediatrician that we have chosen has a whole team of doctors that work together so if one can't squeeze you in another one can. They are also open on the weekends from 8AM until the last patient has been seen- which I think is FAB because our ER copay is like 10X our Dr's office copay so if the baby is ever sick on the weekends we can go to the Peds office FIRST. Anywhoo... yeah! Glad you got to have a nice day after all that!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11571662009601634638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-76710947411575727232007-10-23T06:51:00.000-07:002007-10-23T06:51:00.000-07:00oh man i think i would have given up at the detour...oh man i think i would have given up at the detour you made it way farther then memisguidedmommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10512111894191254653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-36462735115884180222007-10-23T06:43:00.000-07:002007-10-23T06:43:00.000-07:00Oh, I lovelovelove a whole day with no one else in...Oh, I lovelovelove a whole day with no one else in the house to clean! I have to do that sometime SOON! Take a mental-health day, drop the kids at daycare & go home with to clean all day!

Good luck with the ped. I always thought they should set aside some time each day for seeing sick kids rather than making them wait and (possibly) infect the other children. I would never have minded a sick child being seen before my kids' routine check-ups.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14110235078325434919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-30205836984328320072007-10-23T00:29:00.000-07:002007-10-23T00:29:00.000-07:00Woah Nelly, you sure got a lot done. Otherwise if your kid was not sick, why take it to the pediatrican. You're doing good looking for a better officekathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00924699142778576556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7994311.post-50125613070321280502007-10-22T23:43:00.000-07:002007-10-22T23:43:00.000-07:00It is amazing how much you can get done when there...It is amazing how much you can get done when there is no one around to bug you.Awesome Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03523320907836876707noreply@blogger.com
